The portal offers bike or run assessments. Add your preferred discipline in the booking notes and follow the protocol-specific preparation instructions. The time shown is the full appointment allowance, including setup and discussion.
PPD uses maximal performance efforts without gas analysis or blood samples. The VO2 option combines gas analysis and performance data; the lactate option combines blood lactate, power or pace and heart rate. The Complete option brings these inputs together.
The outputs
The model can inform a discussion of aerobic capacity, glycolytic capacity, thresholds and fuel use according to the protocol. Modelled outputs are not all direct measurements. We explain the inputs, assumptions and limits rather than presenting every number as an independently measured fact.
We start by discussing your goals and training history and agree which INSCYD option fits your question. We then set up the bike or treadmill and guide you through the test protocol for that package, before talking you through the outputs and what they mean for your training.
Use your profile to discuss training priorities, pacing and the demands of your goal event. The interpretation considers your current programme and sport. Endurance Lab uses a seven-zone coaching system, with intensity guidance connected to the evidence available.
Read your booking confirmation for the requirements of your chosen protocol. Bring suitable clothing, footwear and water. Tell us about illness, injury or restrictions on exercise before testing.
