People who want a body-composition baseline or to follow changes over time.
It is useful if you are changing your training or nutrition and want to see whether weight changes come from fat or lean mass, or if you simply want a baseline to compare against in a few months.
InBody uses bioelectrical impedance to estimate aspects of body composition. We explain the result and help you interpret repeat measurements in context.
Bioelectrical impedance sends a small, painless electrical signal through the body. Lean tissue holds more water and conducts it more easily than fat, so the scanner can estimate fat mass, lean mass and body water, and how lean mass is spread across your arms, legs and trunk.
We review preparation, complete the scan and discuss the result.
An explanation of your body-composition estimates and how to compare future measurements under similar conditions.
For the most useful comparisons, book repeat scans at the same time of day, with similar food, fluid and exercise beforehand.
Follow the booking preparation instructions. Hydration, recent food and exercise can affect comparisons. Tell us about implanted electronic devices or other relevant health considerations before testing.
The appointment time includes preparation and discussion. Your confirmation provides the specific instructions for your booking.
