TRAIN. TEST. PERFORM.
Dublin Marathon coaching built on data, not guesswork.
Whether it is your first 42.2 km or a new personal best, Endurance Lab builds your plan around your history, your week and the demands of the Dublin course, with marathon pace set from lab testing.
The Irish Life Dublin Marathon takes place in late October and is one of the biggest marathons in Europe. The course runs through the city and Phoenix Park, with mostly gentle terrain and the famous Heartbreak Hill in the final 10 km, before a downhill run towards the finish.
Our Dublin Marathon coaching prepares you for exactly that: steady pacing early, strength for the late climb, and a fuelling plan practised in training. Entry is now by ballot, so we plan your season around the race once your place is confirmed.

Most marathon mistakes start with the wrong pace. A run lactate test in our Dún Laoghaire lab shows where your thresholds sit, so easy runs stay easy and marathon pace is realistic. VO2max testing and running analysis add context on fitness and form.
Your Dublin Marathon plan moves through base, build and specific phases, with long runs, marathon-pace work and recovery weeks placed around your real life. We review progress every week and taper you into race day fresh. Prefer a broader running plan? See running coaching in Dublin.
We use a seven-zone training system and explain what each session is for. Performance testing can help answer specific questions about your training, but the right assessment depends on your goals. Your programme combines the available data with experience, feedback and realistic training decisions.

Most runners benefit from a structured build of four to five months before race day, after a base of consistent running. If you are starting from less, start earlier. We plan backwards from late October.
Yes. First-time marathon runners get a progression matched to their current running, with long runs, fuelling practice and pacing built in step by step.
We use lab testing, such as a run lactate test, alongside your recent training and races to set zones and a realistic target pace, then check it in key sessions.
No. Remote coaching works anywhere. Athletes near Dún Laoghaire can also test in the lab and train with the EL Squad.
