Tiago started Endurance Lab to bring coaching and sports science closer together. He believes a test should give an athlete more than a number, and a training plan should help them understand why they are doing each session.
Originally from Portugal and based in Ireland, he works with runners, cyclists and triathletes with different backgrounds and ambitions. Some are preparing for their first event; others want to improve their performance over longer distances.
As an endurance athlete himself, Tiago understands the challenge of fitting training around work, family and everyday life. His approach combines sports science, coaching experience and regular feedback to build training that suits the person.
He holds a degree in sports sciences and is the author of two books on triathlon training and coaching.
Tiago coaches runners, cyclists and triathletes, from athletes preparing for their first event to those targeting performance over longer distances, with coaching delivered both locally in Dublin and remotely.
A test should give you more than a number, and a training plan should help you understand why you are doing each session. Tiago combines sports science, coaching experience and regular feedback to build training that suits the person, using the Endurance Lab Method: seven training zones and one language connecting every test, session and race plan.
Tiago is an endurance athlete and triathlete himself and has qualified for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
Applications are handled in the Endurance Lab portal.
Every Endurance Lab coach works within the same methodology, backed by lab testing and the Sports Science Made Simple education series.
