Lulwa was born and raised in Kuwait, and her journey in endurance sport started with swimming. In 2019 she discovered triathlon, and over time it became much more than just a sport she competed in.
She has had the opportunity to represent Kuwait internationally, racing across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, with several age-group podium finishes along the way. Some of her most memorable experiences include winning the female overall title at the 2024 Bahrain Triathlon League Championship, placing third overall at the 2023 Abu Dhabi World Triathlon Super Sprint, and swimming across the Bosphorus from Asia to Europe.
Looking back, she is most proud of the experiences triathlon has given her from a young age, particularly the opportunity to represent Kuwait internationally. Racing in different countries, experiencing both successes and setbacks, and continuing to find her way back to the sport have all shaped her as an athlete.
What keeps her involved in triathlon isn’t just the racing or the results. She enjoys the process of training, the challenge of balancing three disciplines and seeing the improvements that develop over time. The sport has also given her opportunities and experiences she wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Since moving to Dublin, Lulwa has been finding her feet in a new environment and getting back into a consistent training routine. She is excited to be training with Endurance Lab and to see what she can achieve by showing up consistently, putting in the work and allowing herself the time to develop as an athlete.
