VO₂max describes the highest rate of oxygen use reached during an exercise test. It is one useful part of your endurance profile, alongside your training history, threshold and ability to sustain effort.
At Endurance Lab, Tiago Dias uses VO₂ Master and a bike test to assess your aerobic fitness. We explain what your result means for your current training and goals.
Who it suits
Cyclists and triathletes who want a baseline, a progress check or a clearer understanding of their aerobic fitness.
What happens
We review your goals, explain the protocol, fit the equipment and guide you through a progressively harder bike test. The 60-minute booking includes preparation and discussion; it is not 60 minutes of maximal exercise.
What you take away
Your measured aerobic-fitness result, an explanation of the test and practical guidance on how the findings can inform your training. For a fuller threshold picture, choose combined VO₂max and lactate testing.
Before you arrive
Bring comfortable cycling clothing, water and your usual cycling shoes. Follow the preparation instructions in your booking confirmation and tell us about illness, injury or any restriction on exercise. Check with us before changing food intake or medication.
Turn testing into a plan
We connect test results with real training decisions. Our coaching uses a seven-zone system, with intensity set around the information available for each athlete.
